LINGLE – Grave side memorial services for Becky Nell Lorenz, 66, were held Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lingle. Becky died at her home on Oct. 27, 2019, and at her request cremation has taken place. Memorials may be given in her honor to the Lingle Volunteer Fire and Rescue or Samaritans Purse. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
Becky was born Sept. 25, 1953, in Torrington, the daughter of Dean and Etta Mae (Cross) Lorenz. She grew up and received her early education in Lingle, graduating Lingle High School in 1972. She attended Eastern Wyoming College and the University of Wyoming, where she received Bachelor’s Degrees in both Education and Library Sciences. She worked at Eastern Wyoming College for over 30 years as the librarian. She had Rheumatic fever as a child, which plagued her health her entire life. She only lived in two houses her whole life.
Becky enjoyed reading, antique collecting (cast iron cookware and cookbooks), gardening, birds, dogs, travel, cooking, piano, organ, singing, horses and was a lifelong learner.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents.
