Torrington Wrestling Club hosts Border Battle tournament

TORRINGTON – Hundreds of young wrestlers filled the Willi Gym in Torrington for the Border Battle wrestling tournament hosted by the Torrington Wrestling Club on Sunday, January 12. 

The Torrington Wrestling Club promotes the sport for youth from ages four to 16. Wrestling is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States for both boys and girls and Goshen County is no exception. The Torrington Wrestling Club filled a record roster this year with 120 young athletes, said club president Kelsey Grant.

The top four wrestlers in each age and weight bracket captured hardware at the Border Battle. Full results for Torrington Wrestling Club grapplers from across Goshen County are printed below.
