TORRINGTON – The Goshen County Historical Society will be hosting their monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 26 at 7 p.m. in the Platte Valley Bank Community Room and the community is invited to attend, free of charge.
The program will feature speaker Ben Milner, the state bird farm manager and the Downar Bird Farm near Yoder.
According to the Wyoming Game and Fish, the farm had another successful year as approximately 17,500 pheasants were raised and stocked around the region this fall. The society and Milner will offer a presentation on the history of the bird farm in Goshen County.
“[It’s a] perfect choice for two days before Thanksgiving,” society president, Mary Houser said.
