LARAMIE – WyoGives Day returns on July 10, offering a unique opportunity to support the CyberWyoming Alliance in their mission to advance cybersecurity education and innovation across Wyoming. Your contributions will go further thanks to generous matching donations from Red Queen Dynamics and Northeast Wyoming BOCES.

WyoGives Day is a 24-hour statewide online fundraising event designed to bring Wyoming together as one community to raise funds and awareness for local nonprofits. This year, CyberWyoming Alliance is focusing on two pivotal educational initiatives:

LEGO Cybersecurity Models: These hands-on kits teach engineering, circuitry, networking, and Python programming. Teachers across Wyoming use these models to inspire the next generation of tech leaders. Shipping each kit costs between $65 and $90, with an estimated annual shipping cost of $2,400.

MAGIC Cybersecurity Puzzle Challenge: Engaging students in virtual cybersecurity challenges, this initiative helps middle school, high school, and college students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The CyberWyoming Alliance provides pizza during the challenge to maintain energy and concentration levels, addressing potential food insecurity as school cafeterias are closed on weekends. The estimated annual pizza cost is $1,000.

Amplify Your Impact with Matching Donations:

RedQueen Dynamics (www.redqueendynamics.com) will match donations for LEGO Attack and Defense Model shipping costs up to $450.

Northeast Wyoming BOCES (www.newboces.org) will match donations for both Pizza and LEGO Attack and Defense Model shipping costs up to $750.

By donating on WyoGives Day, your contributions can be tripled, thanks to these matching opportunities and the Hughes Charitable Foundation Incentive Pool.

Visit the CyberWyoming Alliance page (https://www.wyogives.org/organizations/cyberwyoming-alliance) on the WyoGives website to make your donation starting at 12:01 a.m. on July 10, 2024.
