Trail Elementary hosts Title I Family Night: 'Get in the Game: Data'

Trail Elementary families gathered Tuesday evening for a Title I Family Night themed “Get in the Game: Data,” combining a presentation on student data with an evening of outdoor yard games. Title I is a federal program that provides additional funding to schools with a high number of students from low-income families, supporting resources such as reading and math intervention specialists and family engagement events like this one.

The event, held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., included a presentation for families on how to interpret AimsWeb data reports sent home about their students, as well as an overview of the school's intervention structure. Afterward, families headed outside for yard games including cornhole, giant Jenga, Connect 4, ladder golf and other outdoor activities, with several game sets given away in a drawing at the end of the night.
