TORRINGTON – The Torrington Artisan Market, formerly known as the farmers’ market, is counting down the days until their grand opening.

Beginning Saturday, June 7 at 9 a.m., the market will establish its new home at the SONrise Church in Torrington, marking a significant expansion from its previous format.

“Every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., you’ll find us at the SONrise Church Parking Lot, filled with: Fresh fruits and vegetables from local gardens, Artisan breads, jams, and baked goods, Handcrafted soaps, candles, and artwork and Homemade goods you won’t find anywhere else,” the website explained. “We’re proud to support Wyoming’s small businesses, hobbyists, and homesteaders – the folks who pour passion into every product. Whether you’re shopping for groceries, gifts, or want to connect with the community, the Torrington Artisan Market is your Saturday morning destination. Come for the fresh finds, stay for the friendly faces.”

The rebranded market will run weekly through September 27, providing nearly four months of community commerce and connection.

According to the website, numerous vendors will showcase diverse offerings throughout the season.

“The Torrington Artisan Market is proud to host a diverse array of vendors, each bringing their unique offerings to our community. Our market features local farmers who provide the freshest fruits and vegetables, grown right here in Goshen County. You’ll find a variety of seasonal produce, including crisp apples, juicy tomatoes, leafy greens and root vegetables,” the website said. “In addition to fresh produce, our market includes local artisans and crafters showcasing their handmade goods. These talented vendors offer a range of products, including homemade jams, freshly baked bread and delicious honey. You can also discover beautiful, handcrafted items, such as home decor, jewelry and textiles, reflecting the creativity and skill of our local artisans.”

The market is dedicated to fostering a vibrant community by providing local farmers, crafters and artisans a platform to market their products directly to consumers while celebrating Wyoming’s entrepreneurial spirit.

“The Torrington Artisan Market envisions a thriving community where local fresh foods, homemade goods and horticultural products are readily accessible and celebrated,” their website explained.

The market actively encourages new vendors with attractive incentives and promotional opportunities.

“Becoming a vendor is only $25 for the market season. Season vendors are eligible to secure the 10’ x 10’ space of their choosing for the season. Season vendors are eligible for promotion as ‘Vendor of the Week’ during a week of the vendor’s choice. This promotion will be featured on our Facebook page and shared through our partners in the community,” the website said. “New vendors can try the first market for free before committing to a whole season.”
