Tiger ‘B’ team falls twice at Laramie

LARAMIE – The Torrington Tiger ‘B’ team returned to Laramie on Thursday, July 6 to finish up a conference doubleheader which was postponed since mid-June.

The end result was a pair of losses for the Tigers. In game one, Torrington fell 14-7.

After getting on the scoreboard in the top of the first inning courtesy of singles from Wyler Fisher and Drew Kramer and a sacrifice fly by Ryan Moorehouse, Laramie scored nine runs over the next two innings.

A Laramie error set the tone for the fifth. Colby Sandusky followed it up with a single, and Fisher walked. Drew Kramer added a single and Moorehouse singled, making the score 9-3. Caleb Kelly added an RBI single, and Spencer Booth doubled, drawing the Tigers within three.

Kramer and Kelly went 3-for-4 at the plate, while Fisher and Moorehouse had two hits each.

Anthony Moser suffered the loss, striking out five over six innings.

In game two, Laramie run-ruled Torrington in six innings.

Torrington scored once in the first, twice in the second, once in the third and fourth innings in the 15-5 loss.

Laramie scored at least one run in each inning, capping off the game with five runs in the sixth.

Kramer, Moorehouse and Kelly tallied two hits each for the Tigers.

The Tigers (8-12) wrap up the regular season in Cheyenne on Saturday, July 15. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
