CHEYENNE – The Torrington High School golf team entered week two of the spring season at the Cheyenne Spring Golf Invitational on April 12 hosted by the Airport County Club.
Eight boys and one girl represented Torrington at the competition featuring a single round of golf.
Junior Kaleigh Waymire tied for 18th place in varsity girls, shooting 97 strokes at 27 over par.
Sophomore Caleb Kelly led the Blazer pack in varsity boys, tying for 14th place with a score of 79 (nine over par).
“All of our varsity kids had a good day,” coach Jeff Halley said. “Caleb shot one of his best rounds with a 79 to finish 14th in a loaded field. We were missing most of our girls to other activities, but Kaleigh shot a good score of under 100.”
