GOSHEN COUNTY – In a recent press release, the Goshen County Task Force on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (GCTF) announced the force had passed an audit conducted by the State of Wyoming.
“GCTF operates under the umbrella of the Wyoming Office of the Attorney General Division of Victim Services. This agency conducts an annual review of all activities of GCTS, including operations, local rules, management and spending practices,” the release explains. “Every other year, the State conducts an on-site review that is all encompassing.”
Bailey Johnson, Regional Program Manager sent a letter to local GCTF Executive Director Michelle Powell with the results of the review, the release explained. According to Johnson, GCTF was congratulated “for a successful on-site conducted November 6, 2024.
“It is a stressful time for us as we have to prepare all records, rules, regulations to be in exact compliance with state demands while keeping our office open to serve local victims,” Powell said in the release. “We do operate by-the-book, but these audits have to meet the state’s changing dynamics for policies and their wording as well as everything the state adds annually.”
“GCTF complies with all government rules and regulations and this year was no different. The eight-member Board of Directors locally oversees the GCTF and together they provide assistance to victims in Goshen County who have suffered violence. All keeping within the State’s parameters,” the release explained.
