LINGLE – Seasonal events, maintenance and traffic were all topics discussed at a brief Lingle Town Council meeting Thursday evening.
Bill Carr of the Lingle-Fort Laramie Lions Club announced the annual Community in the Park is scheduled for Aug. 9 at 6 p.m. He requested the use of Whipple Park, and the council agreed to waive all fees associated with use of the park and pool for the event.
Traffic generally picks up throughout the summer – especially during the annual Sturgis motorcycle rally and, this year, the eclipse – and Police Chief Endra Moen said she responded to 143 calls for service since the last meeting, which includes 124 traffic-related issues.
