TORRINGTON – Goshen County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Wyoming’s first statewide Chamber of Commerce. The Wyoming Chamber of Commerce is a new entity with the purpose of unifying the business voices in the state to influence policy and advocate for business interests in both state and federal governments. Their goal is to create a level playing field for all businesses. Over twenty local chambers and economic development groups including Go Goshen have joined the Wyoming Chamber of Commerce at its launch, and the group hopes to grow with more individual businesses and more local chambers.
Moriah Harkins, Chamber Director at Go Goshen, said the statewide chamber will not change the efforts of the local chamber but it “strengthens our ability to advocate for businesses on a state level.”
“The Goshen County Chamber appreciates the Wyoming Chamber of Commerce’s official launch. At Go Goshen, we see this as an opportunity to strengthen our collective voice in Goshen County’s Economic Development, Chamber, Main Street, and Tourism efforts. This new statewide collaboration does not alter our commitment to local initiatives; instead, it amplifies our ability to represent the unique needs of Goshen County on a broader scale,” Harkins said. “By working together, we ensure our community’s interests are heard and supported, making Wyoming an even stronger place for business and community growth.”
