FORT LARAMIE – In a recent Facebook post, the Town of Fort Laramie is asking for the public’s assistance to repair damages to the community’s splash pad.
“The Town of Fort Laramie is grateful for the many visitors who enjoyed the splash pad this summer,” the post began. “Regrettably, an above-ground feature sustained damage and must be replaced with a new fire hydrant feature at an expense of $1,809.”
The town is seeking donations from the community to help offset the costs of the repairs needed for the pad.
Donations are being accepted at the designated box near the splash pad or by mailing them directly to the Town of Fort Laramie.
The splash pad’s grand opening was July 4, 2020, and it was made possible by many different grants and donation funds.
