YODER – Southeast FFA had an exciting week with many activities to celebrate FFA Week and more.

On Monday the 17, we held a Hobby Horsing competition where students ride stick horses and compete in events such as a derby race, limbo, jumping, dressage, relays and goat roping.

Thank you to the woods and art classes that made the stick horses!

We also held a meeting to establish a Southeast FFA Alumni Chapter.

On Tuesday, every ag class made homemade ice cream, and the District Speech Contest was held on Wednesday at the Goshen County School District Central Office. Southeast FFA was represented by Avery Tighe and Abbey Boyd in the Creed Speaking Contest, and by Taylar Hansen in the Extemporaneous Speaking Contest.

Avery and Abbey represented the chapter well, and Taylar placed 3rd, earning herself a position in the Regional Speaking Contest on March 5 in Casper.

On Thursday, the chapter officers prepared and served breakfast for all of the staff members at Southeast Schools.

On Monday the 24th, members Kassidy Mehling, Emily Milner, Bailey Mehling and Lyla Wernsman competed in the State FFA Agriscience Fair Contest in Worland.
