GOSHEN COUNTY – The Wyoming Coaches Association (WCA) released its rosters for the upcoming all-stars volleyball and basketball games the previous week and Goshen County was well represented on the rosters for the South teams.

Top graduating senior athletes from across Wyoming are selected by coaches in the state to dress out in their high school uniforms a final time. The all-stars games take place at Casper College’s Thunderbird Gym on July 26.

The volleyball South Team includes Lingle-Fort Laramie (LFL) graduate Brenly Shipp and Torrington High School’s Olive Osmera. The WCA selected Torrington head volleyball coach Shaylee Mortimore for the South Team’s coaching staff.

Torrington High School graduate Teryn Stokes punched her ticket to the all-stars game on the girls’ basketball South Team.

The boys’ basketball South Team consists of Torrington’s Weston Dyer and LFL’s Brody Roberts.

Shipp clinched 1A all-conference accolades for the 2024 fall season with the Lady Doggers.

Osmera bagged 3A all-state and all-conference volleyball honors in 2024 and 2023. The Torrington graduate will play both volleyball and basketball for the Eastern Wyoming Lady Lancers in the fall.

Stokes will play basketball at Chadron State College this fall. Stokes collected 3A all-state and all-conference accolades in both 2025 and 2024 and was named all-conference in 2023.

Roberts finished a successful senior season for the Doggers basketball team with the SEWAC player of the year award. Roberts garnered all-state awards in 2025 and all-conference in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. The LFL graduate scored his 1,000th career point in December and signed to play basketball for the Eastern Wyoming College Lancers.

Dyer and his teammates on the Blazers basketball team battled back to snag third place at the Wyoming state basketball tournament in March.

Practices for the all-stars games begin in Casper on Wednesday, July 23. The games take place that Saturday at Casper College’s Thunderbird Gym.

In addition to Mortimore, the volleyball coaching staff for the South Team includes Sally Nichols of Wheatland and Jessica Vega of Cheyenne Central.

The girls’ basketball South Team will be coached by Cheyenne Central’s Zane Lindsey and Kassidy Johnson of Douglas.

Coaching staff for the boys’ basketball South Team consists of Robert Watsabaugh of Evanston and Farson-Eden’s Rick Mitchelson.
