LINGLE – Memorial services for Shirley J. France, 93, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Colyer Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Carroll officiating. Burial of the ashes will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Lingle. Shirley died December 11, 2022 at Goshen Healthcare Community and cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Lingle Rescue Unit. Arrangements are by the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com.
Shirley lived her whole life in Goshen County. She was married to Wayne France and lived on their farm west of Lingle most of their lives. They later moved to the town of Lingle. Shirley worked for the United States Post Office in Lingle for many years. She loved to read, do crossword and word search puzzles, knit, play cards and visit with family and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Wayne and two sons, Gary and Greg France. She is survived by her son Brad France, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
