TORRINGTON –Memorial services to celebrate the life of Sandra K. “Sandy” Pittman, 70, will be held at 10 a.m. March 29, 2025, at SONrise Church in Torrington with Pastor Brent Mullock officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Sandy a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on March 8, 2025, in Torrington. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family for a memorial to be decided later.
Sandy was born October 11, 1954, to Clayton and Georgia (McClun) Allen. She grew up in Goshen County and graduated from Goshen Hole High School in 1973. On April 8, 1976, she married the love of her life, Kevin Pittman, in Torrington, where they built a life and family together.
Sandy was a devoted mother to her daughters Jennifer and Sarah. She dedicated many years of service to the City of Torrington where her work ethic and kindness touched the lives of many. Sandy found boundless joy in spending time with her grandchildren, tending her garden, painting, and surrounding herself with family and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Kevin; infant son Michael; brother Rodger Allen; sisters-in-law Becky Gaskel and Robin Pittman; mother-in-law Lorraine Pittman, father-in-law James Pittman; and nephew Nick Weimer. Those left to mourn include her daughters Jennifer (Jeff) Branson and Sarah Pittman; brother Jim (Brenda) Allen; grandchildren Ayden and Braylon Branson, RaeLynne and Clayton Pittman; brothers-in-law Jack (Patty) Pittman and David Pittman; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
