TORRINGTON – The Goshen County Fairgrounds Rendezvous Center hosted the Oregon Trail Chapter of Wyoming Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet on Saturday, April 5. The doors opened at 5 p.m. for dinner, auctions, raffles and the celebration of elk and elk country.
Ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and hunting heritage is the mission of the non-profit organization. Since the founding of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in 1984, the organization has conserved nearly one square mile of elk country every day, their website explains.
