BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of
GOSHEN COUNTY, WYOMING
Tuesday October 1, 2024
The Board of County Commissioners of Goshen County, Wyoming met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 am at the Goshen County Courthouse in the Commissioners’ Chambers with the following members present; Chairman Michael McNamee, Vice Chairman Justin Burkart, Commissioner Aaron Walsh, and Mary Feagler, County Clerk and Clerk of the Board.
The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Burkart moved to approve the revised agenda and the minutes from the September 17th meeting, seconded and passed. Chairman McNamee opened the meeting welcoming all in attendance.
Clerk of Court Brandi Correa presented her September earnings report in the amount of $4,701.06. Commissioner Burkart moved to accept her earnings report, seconded and passed.
County Grant Writer, Hannah Fullmer was not able to attend the meeting. She did update the Commissioners via e-mail.
County Road and Bridge Superintendent Chris Stoddard, County Surveyor Bob Taylor and County Planner Michael Tietjen presented the Road and Bridge report. Michael Tietjen gave a preliminary report on the Lewis Feedlot that was visited the previous day. When the report has been completed he will present it to the Planning Commission. Bob Taylor presented his report which mainly involved planning for winter road closures. Road Superintendent Chris Stoddard presented his report. Road Supervisor Stoddard reported he has taken some equipment off the roads due to the dry weather and no moisture to work with. Commissioner Walsh moved to accept the Road and Bridge Report, seconded and passed.
County Clerk Mary Feagler presented the earnings report, the warrant report, and the payroll report. The earnings for the month of September were $13,266.75. Commissioner Walsh moved accept the reports, seconded and passed. Thom Bozeman, Emergency Manager and Fire Warden, was not present for his report. He updated the Commissioners via e-mail.
Maintenance Supervisor Kevin Flock reported some mechanical issues with the control panel for the Court House heating and cooling system. He has not received the final quote for the repairs but agrees to update the Commissioners as soon as possible so the system can be repaired. He asked about a pickup and snow plow for plowing parking lots. The subject was tabled until the next meeting. Commissioner Walsh moved to accept the report, seconded and passed.
County Assessor asked to be added to the agenda to present a reduction order in the amount of $ 449.43. She also updated the Commissioners on the tax exemptions that have passed in legislature. Commissioner Walsh moved to approve the reduction order, seconded and passed.
Commissioner Burkart moved for the board to go into Executive Session at 10:25 am, seconded and passed. The Executive session adjourned at 10:55 am.
