AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF MONEY BY THE CITY OF TORRINGTON, WYOMING, TO MEET ITS GENERAL FUND REQUIREMENTS AND OBLIGATIONS, TO MEET ITS ENTERPRISE FUND REQUIREMENTS AND OBLIGATIONS, FOR THE 2025 FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2024 AND FIXING THE SUM TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TORRINGTON, WYOMING:
SECTION 1. The following sums of money are hereby appropriated out of unexpended balances of the Fund Accounts and from estimated revenues, including Ad Valorem Tax Revenues, the total sum of $41,152,604 as follows:
General Fund Requirements: Mayor & Council 545,464; Municipal Law 308,811; City Clerk/Treasurer 1,137,160; Maintenance 164,655; Lincoln Complex 387,176; Police Dept/911/Communications 3,261,452; Fire Department 281,891; Engineering 347,532; Buildings & Grounds 225,476; Streets & Alleys 1,067,291; Storm Drain Maintenance 11,000; Vehicle Maintenance 272,711; Parks & Recreations 498,780; Community Projects 197,741; Museum 152,096; Industrial Park 27,200; Homesteader's Museum Trust 926,000; Special Construction Proj. 107,707; Total General Fund Requirements 9,920,144.
Water Fund Requirements: Power & Pump 544,235; Metering 250,696; Distribution & Administration 1,986,683; Water Fund Projects 4,680,645; Total Water Fund Requirements 7,462,259.
Sewer Fund Requirements: Operations and Maintenance 1,824,182; Construction Projects 6,580,000;
Total Sewer Fund Requirements 8,404,182.
Electric Fund Requirements: Purchasing 225,921; Metering 239,375; Production - Wholesale Power 5,224,306; Distribution 2,952,859; Construction Projects 32,000; Total Electric Fund Requirements 8,674,461.
Sanitation Fund Requirements: Collection 2,041,713; Disposal 1,392,616; Total Sanitation Fund Requirements 3,434,329.
Other Fund Requirements: Airport Fund 794,543; Golf Course Fund 903,600; Swimming Pool Fund 272,701; Ambulance Fund 959,532; Cemetery Fund 326,852; Total Other Fund Requirements 3,257,228.

SECTION 2. The sum of $400,649 shall be raised by taxation for the current expenses of the General Fund requirements for the said City of Torrington, during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2024. This ordinance was passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Torrington on June 18, 2024. All ordinances are available for viewing Monday through Friday 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. at City Hall located at 436 E 22nd Ave., Torrington, WY or on the City of Torrington’s website www.torringtonwy.gov.
