AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF MONEY BY THE CITY OF TORRINGTON, WYOMING, TO MEET ITS GENERAL FUND REQUIREMENTS AND OBLIGATIONS, TO MEET ITS ENTERPRISE FUND REQUIREMENTS AND OBLIGATIONS, FOR THE 2024 FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2023 AND FIXING THE SUM TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TORRINGTON, WYOMING:
SECTION 1. The following sums of money are hereby appropriated out of unexpended balances of the Fund Accounts and from estimated revenues, including Ad Valorem Tax Revenues, the total sum of $39,037,098 as follows:
General Fund Requirements: Mayor & Council 461,730; Municipal Law 268,672; City Clerk/Treasurer 1,132,529; Maintenance 376,274; Lincoln Complex 358,138; Police Dept/911/Communications 3,042,747; Fire Department 240,496; Engineering 329,162; Buildings & Grounds 207,002; Streets & Alleys 1,055,473; Storm Drain Maintenance 10,100; Vehicle Maintenance 284,398; Parks & Recreations 408,977; Community Projects 145,554; Museum 145,126; Homesteader's Museum Trust 829,900; Industrial Park 22,100; Special Construction Proj. 721,870. Total General Fund Requirements 10,040,248.
Water Fund Requirements: Power & Pump 804,467; Metering 247,425; Distribution & Administration 1,514,245; Water Fund Projects 3,042,100; Total Water Fund Requirements 5,608,237.
Sewer Fund Requirements: Operations and Maintenance 1,847,042; Construction Projects 5,760,000; Total Sewer Fund Requirements 7,607,042.
Electric Fund Requirements: Purchasing 192,961; Metering 273,079; Production - Wholesale Power 5,131,341; Distribution 2,951,246; Construction Projects 225,000; Total Electric Fund Requirements 8,773,627.
Sanitation Fund Requirements: Collection 2,368,284; Recycling 0; Disposal 1,267,417; Total Sanitation Fund Requirements 3,635,701.
Other Fund Requirements: Airport Fund 1,054,082; Golf Course Fund 778,987; Swimming Pool Fund 264,368; Ambulance Fund 946,874; Cemetery Fund 327,933; Total Other Fund Requirements 3,372,244. Total Appropriations 39,037,098 .
SECTION 2. The sum of $368,086 shall be raised by taxation for the current expenses of the General Fund requirements for the said City of Torrington, during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2023.
