The Regular Meeting of the Lingle Town Council convened at 5:00 PM March 3, 2021 with Mayor Siglin leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Upon roll call, the following were present, constituting a quorum: Mayor: George Siglin Council Members: Steve Edwardson Joe Welte There was also present: Clerk: Richard Reyes Absent: Council Member: Brandie Cook Council Member: A.J. Lambert Police Chief: Endra Andrews Town Attorney: Anna Barnes Fire Chief: Kasey Bangerter Town Supervisor: Larry Haeffelin
Mayor Siglin welcomed all to the meeting and thanked them for being present. Mayor Siglin called for approval of the agenda as presented. CM Welte moved to approve the agenda. CM Edwardson voiced the second and the motion carried unanimously. Mayor Siglin called for approval of the minutes of the February 17, 2021 regular council meeting. CM Welte moved to approve the minutes as presented. CM Edwardson voiced the second and the motion carried unanimously. BILLS FOR FEBRUARY 2021: CM Edwardson moved to approve the Town bills in the amount of $ 92,274.31. CM Welte voiced the second and the motion carried unanimously. ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS: C Reyes Reported: Membership renewal to Local Government Liability Pool Insurance was submitted 2-24-2021. ORDINANCES: THIRD READING OF ORDINANCE #350 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS CONCERNING TOBACCO/NICOTINE SALES, PURCHASES AND USAGE BY AND TO PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF TWENTY-ONE (21) YEARS; PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS. CM Welte moved to approve the third reading of Ordinance #350. CM Edwardson voiced the second and the motion passed unanimously. THIRD READING OF ORDINANCE #351 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING ARTICLE 4, PARAGRAPH 1-405 OF ORDINANCE NO. 195 OF THE TOWN OF LINGLE, WYOMING MUNICIPAL CODE. CM Welte moved to approve the third reading of Ordinance #351. CM Edwardson voiced the second and the motion passed unanimously. COUNCIL ITEMS: CM Edwardson pointed out the increase in the Sales and Use Tax disbursement from the previous month. Mayor Siglin discussed: The account credit given by Wyrulec, all Council Members were appreciative of the gesture; the Wyoming Economic Indicator report issued by the State of Wyoming; Dissolution of the Lingle Fire Dept. Joint Powers Board and that all remaining funds will be evenly distributed between the Town of Lingle and Lingle Fire Dept., all vehicles held in title by the JPB will be transferred to the Town of Lingle. Dissolution of the JPB took effect March 1, 2021; Mayor Siglin also discussed various bills introduced to the Wyoming Legislature.
With no further action to be taken Mayor Siglin adjourned the meeting at 5:22 PM.
