July 19

12:48 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West E Street, Torrington – Dog keeps barking; Caller says it’s not normal and requested officer to check out the area.

5:56 a.m. – Assist the public, East F Street, Torrington – Report of water spewing from the ground in the ballfield near a metal building; Water Dept. notified.

8:02 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Hwy. 26-85, Torrington – Report of a wanted suspect seen walking on Road 47.

9:04 a.m. – Log information, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported a suspected scam IRS call.

10:33 a.m. – Assist the public, East K Street, Torrington – Caller wanted to provide information on drug trafficking in Torrington.

11:56 a.m. – Assist the public, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller requested a call back; Wanted to file a complaint regarding an officer who didn’t stop to help while caller was trying to pick up trash on East Valley Road.

1:12 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, College Drive, Torrington – Report of business receiving calls from around the state; People reporting calls from the business number when no calls being made.

4:19 p.m. – Juvenile problem, East Valley Road, Torrington – Caller reported a vehicle parked with two “very young kids” left alone inside.

9:43 p.m. – Disturbance, East C Street, Torrington – Report of yelling and screaming from a nearby house.

July 20

3:23 a.m. – Traffic violation, West Valley Road, Torrington – Individual playing Pokemon.

1:50 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle, State Hwy. 92, Torrington – Red Dodge truck on west side of highway; Been there since previous Saturday.

2:25 p.m. – Assist the public, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller requested to speak to an officer in regards stopping her son and questioning him.

3:10 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported receiving suspected scam telephone calls.

6:28 p.m. – Assist other agency, Campbell Drive, Torrington – Officer initiated; Assist other agency with subject reportedly being obnoxious.

7:45 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Campbell Drive, Torrington – Report of a 54-year-old female being threatened by her step-brother.

8:32 p.m. – Civil problem, West B Street, Torrington – Caller reported property taken from the house; Believes items taken by caller’s brother, who was staying in the home until being kicked out earlier in the day.

11 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 15th Avenue, Torrington – Caller said it appeared their home had been broken in to; Reported the back door unlocked and open and it appeared someone had tried to pry the front door open.

11:27 p.m. – Assist the public, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported her daughters were at the fairgrounds and someone searched their vehicle; Caller asked why.

July 21

9:58 a.m. – Assist the public, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller with questions about what appears to be an abandoned house; Stated there was a motorcycle behind the house and wanted to know how to find out if it is abandoned and how he could go about buying or obtaining it.

2:55 p.m. – Assist the public, East 25th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported unidentified individual with Nebraska license plates on their vehicle was loading up picnic tables; Requested an officer to check it out.

4:33 p.m. – Juvenile problem, East G Street, Torrington – Caller reported a young boy photographing a lifeguard.

10:41 p.m. – Disturbance, East J Street, Torrington – Caller reported their neighbors to the south broke a liquor bottle in the street.

July 22

12:29 a.m. – Assist the public, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller complaining about a street dance; Caller declined to provide name or contact number.

7:05 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East Valley Road, Torrington – Caller said a kid walked out the previous day, thinking police would be after him for the thefts; Claimed one of the subjects in the video and the unidentified youth looked alike.

6:36 p.m. – Assault, East 25th Avenue, Torrington – Officer initiated; Two juveniles fighting at Jirdon Park.

July 23

7:48 a.m. – Assist the public, Main Street and Valley Road intersection, Torrington – Reports of political signs posted on poles; Not allowed.

10:29 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported an apparent scam call from the IRS.

11:22 a.m. – Hazard, West C Street, Torrington – Officer initiated; Removing a pair of tennis shoes from the middle of the road.

11:27 a.m. – Assist the public, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller asked to speak to an officer referencing his young sister, who’re reportedly “starting family drama.”

12:36 p.m. – Assist the public, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported hiring a painter out of Scottsbluff, Neb., to paint houses in Torrington. Caller said the painter wasn’t responding to attempts to contact and wasn’t painting.

2:08 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 17th Avenue, Torrington – Caller said she believed her identity had been stolen.

5:30 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 15th Avenue, Torrington – Report of an older male in a red Ford Broncho; Male was reportedly walking through the park, handing out pamphlets and talking about “the Rapture.”

7:42 p.m. – Disturbance, Converse Street, Torrington – Caller reported an unidentified person was cursing at her and refusing to leave; Person threatened to get the caller’s child removed and damage caller’s vehicle.

 :28 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Main Street, Torrington – Caller reported a male subject in the alley hiding behind dumpsters and “acting weird.” Caller requested an officer to check it out.

4:45 p.m. – Assist the public, Main Street, Torrington – Caller concerned about a water leak at the residence; Caller away from home but would have a neighbor meet with the officer to check it out.

7:54 p.m. – Assist the public, East J Street, Torrington – Caller said she had questions regarding why officers were at her home the previous day.

8:19 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West A Street, Torrington – Caller reported the shingles on an vacant house across the street are turning black; Suspects a possible electrical fire.

9:37 p.m. – Disturbance, East A Street, Torrington – Caller reported people across the street screaming and throwing stuff at each other.

July 25

1:51 p.m. – Medical aid, West 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller requested EMS; Caller said they weren’t hurt, but wouldn’t say why they needed EMS.

8:28 a.m. – Assist the public, East B Street, Torrington – Caller reported a scam call; caller reported to be their grandson and needed money to get out of jail.

8:46 a.m. – Filthy premises, East C Street, Torrington – Caller advised the garage on the property to the north is full of garbage and wanted “something done about it.”

5:45 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 25th Avenue, Torrington – Sexual harassment issue w/ male juvenile.
