The fire remains at 28,984 acres and is now at 100% containment,” the release read. “Yesterday (August 6), crews continued to mop up heat and smoke in addition to increasing containment. “The Wyoming Type 3 IMT began the process of downsizing earlier this week. Remaining crews will continue to mop and rehabilitate indirect fire line. Over the coming days, the Wyoming Type 3 IMP will transition to patrol status led by local departments,” the release explained.

According to the release, 40 personnel including six engines, one dozer and two road graders are on scene as of Wednesday morning.

“Daily chances of afternoon and evening thunderstorms exist through Wednesday, which could bring gusty and erratic winds. Hot conditions will persist throughout the day with a high near 90. A brief period of gusty southerly winds is possible the evening prior to the cold front, which is expected to bring cooler temperatures with forecasts in the high 60s Thursday and Friday,” the release explained.
