THERMOPOLIS – Hot Springs State Park here is recruiting volunteers to work at Legend Rock State Archaeology Site this summer.
The site is open every day, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., from May 1 to Sept. 30.
The site is set up for a camp host with water, sewer and electricity. Volunteers can use their own RV/camper or use a State Parks provided 25 ft. trailer.
Volunteers can commit to one week, one month or two months. Site hosts will work five days a week and open and close the site and visitor center. They will also be responsible for cleaning the restroom and the grounds.
An orientation will be given to the volunteers so they are familiar with the history and the rock art that is associated with this very unique area. The visitor center is air conditioned.
Day volunteers are also needed to fill in for the camp host when they have their days off. Interested parties may call Kevin Skates at (307) 921-2057 or e-mail kevin.skates@wyo.gov.
