JAY EM – In a recent social media post, Operation Remount Corporation announced applications will soon be opening for the mustangs and veterans or first responders program.
“This program pairs wild mustangs with participants and through one-on-one training and gentling individuals initiate and build a trusting a special bond with their mustang,” the corporation explained. “This offers opportunities to learn how to mitigate symptoms of anxiety, depression and PTSD.”
Since 2001, between 1.9 and 3 million military members have served in post-911 war operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, with over half of them deploying more than once and Veterans from Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom represent more than half of the disabled veteran’s population, the according to the corporation.
“We encourage the participants to take their mustang home to continue their lifelong bond. This program is free,” the corporation said. “We recommend to start the application now by going to our application page.”
