GOSHEN COUNTY – On Friday, August 23, the Goshen County School District Board of Trustees had six seats up for grabs in the November general election and on Monday, August 26 at 4 p.m. the filing period was up for members of the community to toss their names into the ring.
According to records obtained Tuesday morning from the Goshen County Courthouse, 16 names appear on the general school board filing list with only two of the current board, Lena Moeller and Dylan Hager, members seeking reelection.
Board chairman Michael Sussex, treasurer Carlos Saucedo, and members Matthew Cushman, Justin Hurley, Hager and Moeller all had seats available on the ballot for November.
Board member Wade Phipps, clerk Chris Alexander and vice chairman Sarah Chaires will remain on the board until their election terms have ended.
According to the filing report, Tony Goulart, Thomas Massey and Peter Kasperbauer, Kelly Strampe, Kate Steinbock, Michael D. Harrison, Travis Grosz, Tori Hunt, Rob Hunt, Ryan Larkin, Diane Servantez, Jo Meininger, Michael Tighe, Jo Meininger, Hager and Moeller have all filed and will appear on the November 5 ballot.
