Miller named new Goshen County Economic Development CEO

TORRINGTON  ­– Lisa Miller of Fort Laramie was recently selected as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Goshen County Economic Development Corporation. She will fill the vacancy created from the resignation of previous CEO Ashley Harpstreith.  Miller will assume her new duties effective June 1.

Miller brings more than 25 years of professional executive level experience in the corporate, foundation, association and government sectors including, economic development, as well as, being self-employed.  She is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a bachelor of science degree in community development and public administration, and a graduate of Leadership Michigan.  

As the Business Development Director for GCEDC the past three years, where small business is big business, Miller has worked with and visited Goshen County’s local businesses county wide more than 665 times, while assisting 123 potential start-ups, and our four incubator clients. 

“Lisa brings substantial expertise to this position and her promotion will create a seamless transition for our members, staff and our board of directors. We are fortunate to have a current employee with her credentials and experience as a successor to Ashley,” said Kelly Sittner, President of Goshen County Economic Development Corp.

Miller said, “I’m grateful for the vote of confidence the Board of Directors bestowed on me.  My role will continue to be focused around educating, collaborating, communicating, and connecting with the businesses and communities throughout Goshen County. Our multi-talented team is poised for taking economic development, tourism and chamber efforts to the next level.”
