LINGLE – Lingle Volunteer Fire Department (LVFD) Chief Kasey Bangerter informed the town council of several preventative measures the department will have in place during August’s solar eclipse. The area anticipates a significant influx of tourists during the event.
LVFD members will man the fire hall from the Friday before the eclipse through Monday, Aug 21 – the eclipse is expected to begin around 10:30 a.m. Monday morning.
Firefighters and emergency medical technicians will also set up a first-aid station at the fire hall, in accordance with Goshen County Emergency Management.
In addition, LVFD will host a CPR class in the near future.
