TORRINGTON – Funeral services for Lois Dorothy Middleswarth, 95, will be held 10:30 a.m. January 17, 2025, at the Lincoln Community Complex with Barb Hofer, Anna Burchill, and Jenna Pfingsten officiating. Visitation will be Thursday January 16, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home and the casket will be open one hour prior to the service at the community center. Cremation will follow the services. Lois passed away peacefully January 12, 2025, at the Goshen Healthcare Community. Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice in Lois’s name. Lois was born December 18, 1929, in Wheatland to Lowell and Dora (Reerink) Clark. She lived in Wheatland until she graduated from high school in 1947. Then she graduated from Central Business College in Denver, Colorado. She married John Norman Middleswarth March 28, 1948, and they lived on a ranch south of Wheatland. In 1959, they moved to a ranch north of Henry. 

Lois responded to the Gospel of Jesus in 1955. The truth meant everything to her. It was her life. She enjoyed playing the piano, embroidery and reading. Lois and Norman had several children of which two preceded her in death, the eldest daughter, Evelyn K. Johnson and only son, James K. Middleswarth. Living daughters are JoAnn K. Johnson of Torrington, Deena (George) Kleeb of Elko, Nevada, Shirley (JR) Buckhaults of Hawk Springs, Nelda (Kirk) Rider of Denver, and Beth Marlin of Cheyenne. Grandchildren include Shawna and Aimee Johnson, Clinton and Kelly Kleeb, Cody Buckhaults, Jake (Kaitlin) Buckhaults, Drew Buckhaults, Nicholas and Naomi Marlin and nine great-grandchildren.
