TORRINGTON – Linda was born in Kimball, Nebraska to George and Doris Jackson, the youngest of four children. She graduated from Dix High School in 1964. After high school she attended Western Nebraska General Hospital School of Nursing. Upon receiving her RN degree, she joined the Army Nurse Corp and served in Vietnam for one year. Honorably discharged, she moved to Scottsbluff and worked at Saint Mary’s Hospital.
In 1971, she married Tom Watson. They moved to Casper in 1976, where she worked as the assistant director of Casper daycare and enrolled at Casper College and University of Wyoming, receiving a social work degree. She then worked at the Veterans Outreach Center until retiring in 2001. In 2010, they moved to Mesa, Arizona to care for ailing in-laws. They returned to Torrington in 2022 to be with family.
She is survived by her husband, son Jay (Carol), four granddaughters and six great grandchildren, brothers-in-law Mike (Carol Sue) Watson of Scottsbluff and Terry (Nancy) Watson of Maysville, Kentucky.
