TORRINGTON – The Goshen County Library is beginning a new activity for families who have zero through three-year-old children.

As the library has been working on adding things for all ages to participate in, they will soon begin a new event for toddlers and their caregivers.

The library is working with The Old Moose to create their new club, Little Beans Club. Although the program is directed at toddlers and their adults, they welcome any age to join.

The first Little Bean Club meeting will take place on November 4, at 10 a.m.

During this time, Betsy Schmick will be reading stories to the “little beans," they will enjoy dancing and singing time with Danny and engage in sensory play.

According to the library, the program is an opportunity for the children to develop early learning skills and also an opportunity for the caregivers to socialize with other adults and get to know other community members.

Although it's not necessary to participate, the library offers the Little Beans Package to make the day feel even more like a treat.

For $10, the Little Beans Package offers a freshly brewed latte for the caregiver, and two healthy veggie pouches and two juice boxes for the little ones.

This new club will meet every Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at The Old Moose.

The library describes the program as, “a fun filled hour designed to make life a little easier for busy caregivers and offer a special time for the little ones.”
