WHEATLAND – It is with profound sadness we share the passing of our beloved LeeAnn Marie “Nana” Elmore, Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the age of 73. LeeAnn passed away at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado after a hard-fought battle against cancer.
Nana relished life as an amazing mother and grandmother to many including her best friend and daughter, DreAnna (Alexandra) Elmore; daughter, Kristin (Will) Leonhardt; grandson, Dallen (Candice) Fleenor; grandchildren, Noah and Kiera Fleenor; granddaughter, Keela (Dom) Peters; granddaughter, Shaunae (Dylan) Fernandez; grandson, Jordan (Dalia) McDaniel; great grandchildren, Evalynn, Easton, and Addelyn. She was also an amazing loving oldest sister to Sheila Lee; aunt to Lyndsey and Brady Lee; great aunt to Wesley. We will all miss her so much!
Nana was known to many for her kindness and immense capacity for unconditional love. All were welcomed into Nana’s home and arms without judgement and made to feel loved and worthy. She always gave the best hugs and always knew when you needed one, sometimes even if you didn’t know you did! Nana worked many jobs in her life including her most favorite that she happily retired from Wyoming Child and Family Development (WCFD) in Guernsey.
All of us who were blessed with having Nana in our lives experienced her warm and gracious love that she lavished on family and friends. If you knew her you know she was also quite the firecracker with much sarcasm, but she always said, “if we all lived life so serious, we wouldn’t really be living life at all.”
With that being said please join us for a celebration of her amazing life, open to all who loved Nana, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Lake Guernsey VFW Post 4471 in Guernsey. We will have a lunch and do a lot of storytelling!
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
