COLORADO SPRINGS – The Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) Lancers basketball team came up short in two games at a tournament hosted by Trinidad State College in Colorado Springs from November 22-23.

“The Lancers showed moments of excellence as they forced 20-plus turnovers each game and aggressively attacked the basket,” coach Bill Engel said. “On offense, the Lancers got to the free throw line 21 times against (Trinidad State) and 30 times against Otero. Unfortunately, we shot the ball poorly from the line and the field but our guys are growing and getting better. We look forward to the challenges ahead and the opportunity to build a championship program.”
