DOUGLAS – The Lingle-Fort Laramie Lady Doggers fell in their first game of the 1A East Regional Tournament on Thursday to Kaycee, 42-28.
By halftime, the Lady Buckaroos had taken a 22-12 lead over the Lady Doggers. After scoring eight points in the third quarter, L-FL found itself down 31-20 with a quarter to go. Another eight points in the final frame was not enough to make up the difference, handing the Lady Doggers the 42-28 loss.
With an opening round loss, the third-ranked Lady Doggers drop to the lower bracket. At 9 a.m. tomorrow in Douglas, L-FL takes on Midwest, who lost its opening round game to Rock River, 49-15. The loser between the Lady Doggers and Lady Oilers is knocked out of the tournament.
