GILLETTE – The Torrington High School Lady Blazers kicked off the 2025 spring season with a 2-0 victory against the Pinedale Lady Wranglers in the first game of the East-West Tournament hosted by Gillette on Friday, March 21.
Sophomore Madison Hatch and junior Hallie Fuller both netted one goal for Torrington against Pinedale.
“The Pinedale game was a good start to the season and we saw a lot of progress from last year,” coach Tyler Cram said.
On Saturday, Torrington came up short in a non-conference game against 4A Campbell County, 6-0.
“Playing this strong team (Campbell County) really magnified the areas that we still need to improve on,” Cram remarked. “We plan on addressing those areas this week in practice and make the necessary improvements in time for our game against Buffalo.”
The Lady Blazers travel to play Buffalo on Saturday with game time scheduled for 12 p.m. Torrington boards the bus for away games against Gering and Worland before hosting its first home game is against Rawlins on Friday, April 11 at 2 p.m.
