LINGLE – The Lingle-Fort Laramie girls’ basketball team split a pair weekend games with Class 2A Glenrock and Pine Bluffs.
On Friday, the Lady Doggers hosted a Glenrock Lady Herder team who is still searching for their first win of the season.
L-FL handed the Lady Herders a 49-32 loss.
In the opening frame, the Lady Doggers doubled Glenrock’s score, leading 16-8 at the end of the first eight minutes of play.
In the second period, chipped away at the deficit, cutting into the L-FL’s lead by three in the second quarter.
With a 27-22 lead at the half, the Lady Doggers outscored Glenrock 22-10 over the final 16 minutes of play to pull away for the 17-point win.
Kaelyn Riley led the team with 19 points, while junior Ashely Riley dropped in 11. Junior Savannah Mirich and Kaelyn Riley grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Kaelyn Riley also had a team-high six steals.
The next day, the Lady Doggers traveled to Pine Bluffs, falling 64-25 to the No. 2-ranked Lady Hornets.

L-FL (6-8) travels to Torrington to face the Southeast Lady Cyclones (7-5) at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 on the campus of Eastern Wyoming College.
