FORT LARAMIE – Jack Miller, a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on August 18, 2024 at the age of 77 in Fort Laramie. Born in Cheyenne, Jack lived a life marked by his dedication, warmth, and a sense of humor.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Miller, and their children: daughter Jacki Broderick and her husband Chris, son Charlie Miller and his wife Krystal, and son Rod Miller and his wife Molly. As well as his sister Pam Isbell. He was a cherished grandfather of eleven and great-grandfather of seven, with his family always at the center of his world. Jack regularly reached out to his children and grandchildren, always eager to check in and share a laugh.
Jack’s diverse career spanned law enforcement, plumbing, and ranching, reflecting his commitment to his community and the land he loved. A man of integrity and kindness, Jack was known for his ability to find the good in everyone he met. His quick wit and genuine smile were hallmarks of his character, and he remained a steadfast friend to many throughout his life. Jack’s straightforward nature and unwavering support made him a cornerstone in the lives of those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at the Fort Laramie gymnasium on September 21st from 2 to 4 to honor Jack’s life and legacy. Everyone is welcome to come by to share a memory.
Jack Miller will be remembered fondly for his love of family, his commitment to his community, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. He will be deeply missed.
