SCOTTSBLUFF – The Torrington High School cross-country team, consisting of athletes from across Goshen County, showed up and represented at the Scottsbluff Distance Festival hosted by the country club on Friday, October 4.
Three Goshen County harriers broke into the top 10 in varsity 5K races at the event.
Southeast High School junior Kaycee Kosmicki captured gold in the varsity girls’ race, clocking in at 21 minutes, 4.72 seconds. Kosmicki crossed the finish line with more than 20 seconds to spare over the runner-up from Scottsbluff.
In the boys’ varsity 5K, Lingle-Fort Laramie High School junior Sullivan Wilson returned to action this week and took fourth place with a time of 17:22.61.
Torrington High School senior Callie Taylor pulled into 10th place in varsity girls, timing in at 23:00.85.
