GOSHEN COUNTY – October 24 thru 27, 31 and November 1 and 2, the Goshen Community Theater is presenting Almost, Maine in the Eastern Wyoming College auditorium.
Set in the fictional town of “Almost, Maine,” the characters of each separate play learn, discover and explore love and loss.
The play opens with the prologue starring Logan Fogle as Pete and Chloe Joe as Ginette. Ginette knows she loves Pete. Pete has a harder time showing it. As the interlogue and epilogue progress, they learn each other’s love language.
The next play was Her Heart starring Staysha Adams as Glory and Gary Glass as East. Glory finds herself in Almost, Maine hoping to fix her broken heart. She runs into East and he teaches her the importance of help.
Sad & Glad starred Harley Wahl as Jimmy, Chloe Joe as Sadrine and Samantha Joe as Villian. Jimmy is heartbroken to learn his ex-lover Sadrine is now engaged. He brands himself as a villain, but this may be how he learns to love again.
This Hurts stars Auke Daane as Steve. Steve is unable to feel pain until he meets his co-star Paige Daane as Marvalyn.
Getting it Back is a story about Gayle, played by Sydney Nickens, wanting her love back from her longtime boyfriend Lendall, played by Harley Wahl. She worries he does not love her as they are still not engaged. Lendall is unable to give her love back as he turned it into something beautiful.
They Fell stars Staysha Adams as Shelly and Samantha Joe as Deena. Shelly and Deena have been best friends for a very long time. Suddenly, Shelly thinks Deena may be more than a friend to her.
Where it Went stars Gary Glass as Phil and Sarah Watt as Marci. Phil and Marci are married, they have kids, the do things married people do but it just isn’t as fulfilling as it used to be. They learn sometimes you have to go find your own love.
Story of Hope is a story of a woman named Hope, played by Diona Savoy-McDaniels, who returns to her hometown to find the boy named Daniel, played by Dave Ernst, she left without an answer to his proposal. The story contains a fascinating twist.
Rhonda and Dave, played by Paige and Auke Daane respectively, are the characters of Seeing the Thing. Dave attempts to make a hard confession to Rhonda, and she simply cannot see it.
Each play is a beautiful, symbolic representation of many of the ways love can begin, continue, and end. No matter the case, the plays showcase the beauty in each.
