TORRINGTON – The Goshen County Library is excited to announce that Senator Cynthia Lummis has nominated it, for the second consecutive year, for the National Medal for Museum and Library Service. The National Medal for Museum and Library Service is the nation’s highest honor for institutions that make significant and exceptional contributions to their communities. Approximately fifteen libraries and fifteen museums will be selected as finalists, for a total of thirty. From these finalists, a minimum of three museums and three libraries will then be selected to receive National Medals. All National Medalist nominees will be notified of their status in the spring of 2025.

According to Goshen County Library Director Cristine Braddy, “We feel incredibly privileged to be included as a nominee alongside high-caliber libraries across the nation. It’s an honor to be recognized in this way.”
