GOSHEN COUNTY – Goshen County Health Officer Marion Smith issued Public Health Order No. 2020-4 on Friday, Dec. 4, an order requiring persons within Goshen County to wear face coverings when they are outside of their home or place of residence. The order takes effect Saturday, Dec. 5, and is mostly a continuation of the previous order.

According to the order, signed by both Goshen County Health Officer Marion Smith and Wyoming State Health Officer Alexia Harrist, all members of the public are required to wear a face covering “outside of their home or other place of residence…when persons are inside, or in line to enter, any business, or any government facility open to the public, including county and municipal building but excluding state and federal buildings.”

The order also requires persons to wear a face covering when they are at healthcare facilities or visiting healthcare operations, including veterinary facilities.

Face coverings are required for children 12 years of age and older and are "encouraged" for children ages three to 11.

Public Health Order No. 2020-4 will remain effective through Jan. 8, 2021.
