Gorilla Waste sees bananas growth

TORRINGTON – Local waste management company Gorilla Waste Solutions is swinging into success, experiencing rapid growth since its launch in 2023.

Founded by brothers Jacob and Jared Hattley, the company specializes in roll-off dumpsters, demolition jobs, and cleanup and removal services. However, thanks to rising demand and a commitment to expansion, Gorilla Waste has recently added hauling and logistics services, as well as residential trash pickup, to its growing list of offerings.

This month marks a major milestone for the company as it officially launches residential trash pickup in Mitchell, Nebraska. Previously, the City of Mitchell managed its own sanitation services, but by contracting with Gorilla Waste, the city has secured cost savings while maintaining the same level of service for its residents.

And the growth isn’t stopping there. Starting in April, Gorilla Waste will expand its residential trash pickup services to a 20-mile radius around Torrington, as well as to homes located between Torrington and Mitchell. While city ordinances currently prevent the company from servicing customers within Torrington’s city limits, residents in surrounding towns and unincorporated county areas will have access to the new service.

“We’re thrilled to begin our journey into residential and commercial trash collection,” Jacob Hattley said. “Our team is committed to providing an unmatched service and building strong relationships with the communities we serve. Earning the contract for the City of Mitchell is an exciting milestone and we look forward to bringing our customer-focused approach to even more residents and businesses in the Wyo-braska region. We take pride in our communities and are excited for the opportunities ahead.”

As a community-focused business, Gorilla Waste aims not only to provide top-tier services but also to support the local community. This past Thanksgiving, the company organized the “Gorilla Giveback” program, raising funds to assist local families with gift cards to Main Street Market and FreshFoods.

In addition to its new trucking and residential trash services, Gorilla Waste will continue its established business offerings, including roll-off dumpsters, junk removal, and commercial waste solutions. For more information, contact Gorilla Waste Solutions at 307-534-6877.
