CHEYENNE - Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon, following recommendations from Washington, D.C., has ordered flags in the state to be lowered to half staff on Monday in honor of Memorial Day.
Gordon's order is in line with a proclamation by President Donald Trump, designating Memorial Day this year as a "day of prayer for permanent peace." The proclamation further designates 11 a.m. local time as "a time when people might unite in prayer."
Both United States and Wyoming state flags should be flown at half staff on Monday from sunrise to noon, per Gordon's order.
