GOSHEN COUNTY – Eleven high school volleyball players from across Goshen County captured postseason awards in 2024 – the culmination of successful seasons by Lingle-Fort Laramie (LFL), Southeast and Torrington high schools.
Seven athletes garnered all-state and all-conference honors from the Wyoming Coaches Association – LFL junior Skyla Wunder, Southeast senior Brooklyn Leithead, Southeast junior Keana Llewellyn, Southeast sophomore Brylie Booth, Torrington senior Jaycee Hurley and Torrington senior Olive Osmera.
Osmera earned all-state accolades in 2023 as well.

“Kenzi is the girl out there making plays that put us in positions to win,” coach Cottrell said. “She is quick, reads the ball and gets to where she needs to be so our offense can run. Kenzi is one of those silent leaders. She doesn’t say a lot, but her leadership comes through her tenacity, ability to shake things off and play. She is selfless and doesn’t like the spotlight even though she has earned it. Her ability to overcome obstacles and focus on the game makes her a priceless asset to our team.”

“Brylie was a key six-rotation player for us,” coach Monica Anderson said. “She can put a ball down from any position at the net, making her the team leader in kills. She also does a great job reading the opponent and putting herself in a good position to make a play. Brylie has a passion for the game and a competitive will that contributes to the dynamic of her play.”

I’m proud of the person and player she has become and I wish her the best of luck in her continued volleyball career at Black Hills State University.”
Both Hurley and Osmera “set a standard for those following them – leading by example with hard work and dedication,” Mortimore added.
