LINGLE – Funds are being collected to help a local family offset the medical expenses following an ATV accident on September 24.
Terra Ochsner reached out to her fellow Facebook friends and community to share the devastating news.
“We would like humbly raise the call for prayers and support for Miles and Sharlet Duffy whose oldest son, Will, was in a terrible ATV accident on the night of September 24,” Ochsner explained. “Will was eventually flown to Denver where the decision was made to take a majority of one arm, which is a life-altering trauma for anyone, let alone a rambunctious 10-year-old.”
Ochsner continued stating Will has a long road to recover and more expenses are expected to occur.
“William has a long road ahead as he recovers, with several more procedures expected, as he adapts to his new normal,” Ochsner explained. “All the while his three siblings and parents are processing, coping, and adapting as well.”
“A medical fund has been created at Pinnacle Bank in Torrington, as a way to alleviate some of the financial burden that accompanies a traumatic injury like this,” the Facebook post reads.
