HOUSTON, TEXAS – Floyd Tim Pease, 92, passed away in Houston, Texas, May 19, 2024. Tim was born in Veteran, on April 23, 1932. Cremation and a Celebration of Life has taken place in Houston. His wish, however, was to be buried in Torrington’s Valley View cemetery along with his family. A private burial will be held July 27, 2024, with no formal services.
Tim was born to Floyd Hugh and Huldah Johnson Pease. The family moved “to town”, and he graduated from Torrington High School in 1949. Upon graduation Tim departed for Rice University in Houston, having earned one of two NROTC scholarships in Wyoming. Tim carried the Torrington Trailblazers’ spirit becoming a pioneer in the offshore drilling industry.
Even though Tim called Houston home, he remained a proud son of Torrington and owner of his family’s farm near Veteran until 2021. He and his family made fond memories during annual trips to check on the farm. If asked by people unfamiliar with Wyoming “Where is Torrington,” it amused him to first respond by saying “Halfway between Henry and Lingle”.
For those who knew Tim, his daughter and a granddaughter will be at Deacon’s Restaurant from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on July 27 should you want to stop by for a cup of coffee and vanilla ice cream (Tim’s favorite).
