A group of more than a dozen farmers and ranchers, their trucks and trailers in town, assembled in Torrington today to stand up for their industry.
The producers cited a Burger King ad campaign promoting the Impossible Whopper as the tipping point in what they consider a public propaganda campaign against production agriculture.
“We need to bring visibility to agriculture in a positive light,” Lori Schafer, one of the event's organizers, said. “The beef industry in particular is taking some really hard hits.”
