TORRINGTON – Carter Anderson, a recent graduate of Eastern Wyoming College (EWC), is preparing to compete at the 2025 College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) held from June 14–21 at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyoming.
Anderson will represent EWC in the team roping event alongside his partner, Jade Byrne of Casper College.
“Competing at the CNFR has always been a goal of mine,” Anderson said. “EWC has been a great school for me and has prepared me for the highest level of competition in collegiate rodeo.”
Anderson has consistently excelled both academically and athletically during his time at EWC. He has finished in the top ten in both team roping and calf roping over the past two seasons.
In the classroom, Anderson has made the Dean’s or President’s List every semester.
“I couldn’t be happier for Carter,” coach Whit Peterson said. “He’s been a great student-athlete and is the kind of competitor and person every coach wants on their team.”
The official draw for CNFR competitors will be posted on June 8. Additional information about the event, including schedules and ticketing, can be found at CNFR.com.
Anderson is a native of Merriman, Nebraska.
