TORRINGTON – In a generous act of community giving, the Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) rodeo team has donated three head of beef to local organizations in Goshen County. Recipients include Valley Christian School, the Goshen County Senior Center, and Goshen County School District No. 1.
Each year, the rodeo team purchases practice livestock for training, with funding coming directly from the EWC rodeo club budget. A significant portion of these funds is raised through the team’s largest annual fundraiser—the Black Jeans and Gold Buckle Gala.
“The Goshen County community and other supporters of EWC rodeo have helped the rodeo team out so much that the club wanted to give back,” coach Whit Peterson said.
Once the decision to donate was made, Dinklage Feedlot stepped up to contribute by donating the feed to finish the three head of cattle. “This could not have been done without the help of Dinklage Feedlot,” Peterson added.
The EWC rodeo team extends its sincere thanks to everyone who supports them throughout the year and hopes to continue this tradition of giving back to the community.
