TORRINGTON – Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) offers scholarships, a Veterans center, a Veterans club and is hiring a liaison to help veterans and their families.
The EWC Foundation offers scholarships for veterans and funding for services for veterans through a generous benefactor.
The Marna M. Kuehne Foundation of Sheridan funded a scholarship for veterans in 2008. This scholarship may be awarded for and used for both degree seeking and non-degree seeking students, certificate programs, and other coursework offered by EWC.
The gift from the Kuehne Foundation can also provide services for Veterans, such as childcare, tutoring, books, educational tools, and assistive devices.
The college has an immediate job opening for a Military and Veterans Affairs Coordinator. This person assists military veterans and their dependents as they transition to college, serving as the primary contact for admissions counseling, financial aid counseling and ongoing academic advising. This is a part-time position. For more information and to apply: https://ewc.peopleadmin.com/postings/1867
